From Our Farm, By the Bilona Method
We don't source our milk from middlemen — we own our dairy farm. Our indigenous Gir and Sahiwal cows graze freely on open pastures and are treated like family, never like production units. They are fed organic fodder, never given hormonal injections, and are milked gently by hand.
Their A2-rich milk is set into curd overnight, hand-churned using the centuries-old Bilona method, and slow-cooked over a wood fire until it transforms into golden, aromatic ghee. This process takes nearly 30 litres of milk to produce just 1 litre of ghee — but the flavour, nutrition, and purity are worth every drop.

Our Pickles
Handcrafted by Village Women, with Farm-Fresh Ingredients
Our pickles begin at the source — we collaborate with local farmers across Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan to procure the freshest raw mangoes, lemons, chillies, and seasonal vegetables, picked at the peak of ripeness.
These ingredients are then brought to our farm, where a team of experienced village women — many of whom have been perfecting these recipes for decades — handcraft each batch using age-old family recipes. Every pickle is sun-dried naturally, mixed with cold-pressed mustard oil, and seasoned with hand-ground spices.

Our Jaggery
Our Own Factory. Zero Chemicals. Pure Sweetness.
Most jaggery in the market is processed with chemicals like superphosphate and sodium hydrosulphite to achieve that uniform golden colour. We took a different path — we built our own jaggery factory so we could oversee every step of production ourselves.
We crush fresh sugarcane from surrounding farms, boil the juice in open iron pans over controlled heat, and let it set naturally — without any chemical clarifiers or colour enhancers. The result is a dark, rich, intensely flavourful jaggery that tastes exactly the way it should.

Meet the Founders
Kaaveri Desi was born out of a personal frustration — we couldn't find pure, unadulterated traditional foods for our own families. The ghee tasted synthetic, the pickles were factory-made, and the jaggery was chemically treated. We knew there had to be a better way.
So we went back to the villages. We set up our own dairy farm, partnered with local farmers, hired the women who still remember the old recipes, and built a jaggery factory where we could control every ingredient. What started as a family project quickly became a mission — to revive the food traditions of India and make them accessible to every home.
Today, Kaaveri Desi serves hundreds of families across India who, like us, refuse to compromise on what they eat. And we're just getting started.
